Job Description

Your New Role

Joining the Leidos Australia Corporate IT team, we're looking for you to take on a few things:

  • Network Design and Planning
    • Designing and planning network architecture based on Leidos standards
  • Network Implmentation
    • Configuration and troubleshooting of everything network related
  • Network Monitoring & Optimisation
    • Network performance, bottlenecks, troubleshooting
  • Security Management
  • Documentation & Reporting
  • Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity

About You and What You'll Bring

This role is key for our team. What we're looking for is someone that has owned and delivered pieces of work, from design (multi site networks a must) right through to implementation, has worked with a number of departments before so has great stakeholder management skills, and isn't afraid to go and plug in a cable or flick on a switch in our data centre.

Essential skills and experience:

  • Strong knowledge of IT networking solutions from Cisco, Palo Alto, Aruba & Silverpeak Networks (voice, data & SDWAN).
  • Strong knowledge of VPN technologies including IPSEC Site-to-Site, Clientless (SSL) and Client-based (F5) Remote Access.
  • Strong knowledge of IT Security best practices, eg. Least Privilege principle, Multi-Factor Authentication, DMZ, Zero Trust / Micro-segmentation.
  • Working knowledge of IT Infrastructure and Network monitoring: SNMP, Syslog, Splunk, PRTG
  • Working knowledge of Internet / Service provider networks and offerings: NBN, ISDN/PRI/SIP, MPLS, Dedicated bandwidth, Latency, and Contention
  • Strong communications skills with demonstrated ability to communicate technical topics to non-technical stakeholders
