Your New Role
Key responsibilities include performing general server administration tasks, monitoring and optimizing system performance and reliability, operational workflow development, and managing enhancements/upgrades.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide onsite support in Data Centres across multiple locations.
- Engage with project teams regarding data centre deployments and expansion
- Provide physical troubleshooting of incidents and problems including networks and power.
- Reporting and ticket submission of identified hardware faults, managing vendor relationships and overseeing repairs and maintenance to ensure a high standard of service.
- Ensure the continued maintenance of production systems including firmware upgrades, audits and asset tracking.
- Upholding security requirements at all times including the escorting of uncleared personnel and proper management of secure data.
- Managing and supporting the wider field service team by overseeing rollouts and incident management.
- Work as part of a team to manage incidents, problems, continuous services improvement and workflows to meet deadlines.
- Assist in the continuous improvement process by developing and enhancing procedures and standards and comply with internal administrative and Standard Operating Procedures.

Your skills in the following areas will be highly valued:
Skills
- Higher education sector accreditation at minimum advanced diploma level or relevant industry experience in hardware, networking or datacentres, for more than 3 years.
- Technical knowledge of VMware, HPe servers and secure environments.
- Documentation and SOP development.
- Display a high level of experience across hands-on engineering roles.
- A valid driver’s license.
