Seeking an Experienced LAME/Senior Base Engineer, to join our expanding Engineering team with a lifestyle balanced roster of 7 days on 7 days off, at the entrance to the Kimberley region, offering an attractive remote allowance on top of wage.

Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Hold safety as a core value and contribute to the achievement of a zero harm and incident/injury free environment through active participation in all safety programs relevant to the position.
  • Lead the Broome/IOT engineering Team.
  • Reinforce a positive safety-first culture.
  • Ensuring compliance of Broome Team in line with MOE/Part 145 MOS.
  • Perform the duties of a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer when required. 
  • Ensure all aircraft maintenance, documentation and certification is carried out and completed in line with the MOE, procedures manuals and responsible CAMO requirements.
  • Plan, distribute and oversee scheduled maintenance for Broome/IOT
  • Oversee GSE Compliance inspections and repairs.
  • Supervise maintenance personnel and support apprentices when required.
  • Ensure Complex Maintenance Tasks are certified by an authorised Certifying Employee
  • Maintenance and associated maintenance records are completed & certified correctly by authorised Certifying Employee prior to CRS issue. 
  • Responsible for the general condition, upkeep of the hangar and workshop
  • Compliance to the FRMS and WHSMSM policies and procedures
  • Perform any other duties as directed by the HoM

Reporting Relationship

  • The position reports directly to the Head of Maintenance.

Qualifications

Essential:

  • Experienced LAME B1/B2 or dual licensed
  • Heavy and Line maintenance Experience
  • Experience leading an engineering team
  • DHC8 Classic Type Rating offered if not currently rated

Desirable

  • Dash 8 Classic Rating
  • Confined Space training
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Forklift license
