This is not an ordinary desk job. Our Airborne Surveillance Observers have the opportunity to fly to particularly unique locations. A perfect job for those seeking a challenge, and wanting the opportunity to work in an aircraft, without needing a background in aviation.

You will work in a highly modified regional turboprop airliner, with the most advanced technology ever to be integrated into a civil surveillance platform and work with a highly skilled team.   

We are seeking candidates from any career stream or industry who are looking for a new opportunity or a change of scenery from their current idle or employment situation. You will be trained to operate cutting edge systems to carry out civil maritime surveillance missions. 

An Airborne Surveillance Observer (EO) is responsible for conducting safe, effective and timely surveillance operations ensuring that data and intelligence collected is securely distributed to the client and identified stakeholders.  

Whilst airborne conducting mission related duties, you will report to the Electronic Mission Coordinator (EMC).

About the job environment 

  • Ground and airborne aviation environment with various weather conditions. 
  • Required for flying and/or deployment throughout various locations in Australia and the Pacific. 

Qualifications

 Essential experience and/or qualifications 

  • Senior First Aid Certificate or equivalent. 
  • Able to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance (AGSVA Baseline) 
  • Able to obtain a clear National Police Check 
  • Intermediate level of experience with computer and IT systems. 
  • Able to commit to 16 weeks of training based in Darwin
