Job Description

Your New Role

Leidos Australia has an opportunity to support an exciting new key Government contract, supporting Australia and it’s national interests, both locally and overseas.

This role will support a new multi-year program, which will expand the capacity of the large enterprise environment for the next step of the program. You will be in a large, cross-skilled team of project managers, system architects and engineers, with the opportunity to involved yourself with complex and highly watched delivery. The Document Controller will report to the PMO Manager and work closely with the Technical Writer and other business units and key project staff. The role is pivotal in ensuring the successful delivery of fit-for-purpose key program documentation. You will provide a conduit between the program and other Leidos business units to ensure process efficiency and customer service.

The Document Controller is responsible for administrative support to the project team including documentation and records compliance with regulatory requirements, and ensuring documentation is version controlled, up to date and accurate.

About You and What You'll Bring

You have previous experience as a Document Controller, supporting wider projects to ensure compliance and quality. You have strong organisational skills, and a keen eye for detail. 

Your critical thinking, process analysis, and problem-solving skills will support you well in this position. You must be able to adapt and respond to changing requirements, as well as be independent and meet deadlines. 

You have previous experience as a Document Controller, you will be supporting a major project to ensure compliance and quality including the following skills:

  • Experience in document management and technical writing within a large project(s)
  • Knowledge of Defence- style writing framework and records management processes 
  • High level proficiency in Objective (or similar government records management systems), Microsoft Office suite and PDF software
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively, but can also operate autonomously using initiative, sound reasoning, listening and decision-making skills
  • Time management, planning and organising skills
  • Analytically minded with strong problem-solving skills and hold a high level of initiative and self-motivation
  • Understanding of ILS processes / procedures is desirable but not essential

The successful candidate will need to be an Australian Citizen with a NV1 security clearance or above.
