Job Description

Your New Role

Support the implementation of Data Migration System and associated activities. Reporting to the Data Management Lead, the main responsibilities of this role will include setting up data replication pipelines, setting up administrator and service accounts, tuning system performance, deploying data migration and master data management software, and supporting database systems. Providing input into procedures, testing, and SOP’s relating to maintenance and management of the data migration system. Interact with relevant stakeholders to ensure delivery is fit for purpose.

Perform the following functions as individual assignments or as part of a team:

  • Designing, architecting, and implementing a data platform that supports complex data analysis solutions
  • Building required infrastructure for optimal extraction, transformation and loading of data from various data sources – SQL, API’s, ODBC, Spreadsheets and more.
  • Review the database designs and make recommendations for designs and implementations;
  • Implement and test database upgrades;
  • Support data migration activities;
  • Deploy Data Migration (TIBCO OmniGen) and Master Data Management (TIBCO EBX) software
  • Maintain database design and implementation documentation;
  • Provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity.
  • Source and analyse relevant subject matter documentation.
  • Ensure adherence to processes, procedures and security requirements.
  • Ensure the IT Support products and services provided to Programs are of the highest quality and satisfy all regulatory and technical requirements.
  • Comply with legislation and Company policies, processes and instructions, including those relating to non-discrimination, environment, safety, duty of care, and the quality management system.

Qualifications

About You and What You'll Bring

Relevant certifications or Professional membership relating to Microsoft SQL Database.

Experience

Coupled with your education and practical experience, you will demonstrate a pro-active approach with the ability to understand the business, identify issues and develop relationships to achieve the company’s objectives. You will also have:

  • Substantial professional experience working in a role within an engineering or project environment (preferably in a similar industry)
  • Substantial experience with the relevant technologies and domains is essential. Microsoft SQL
  • Proven experience administering, configuring and managing large scale SQL environments
  • Substantial knowledge and application of a broad range of skills including software, systems and enterprise architecture, software and hardware engineering, interface protocols
  • Substantial experience working in a large enterprise environments.
