In Australia, we operate a select, highly skilled, internationally diverse engineering team, providing engineering and design advisory services to Australia's naval programs. Our team holds expertise across naval architecture, marine engineering, nuclear engineering, safety and security, systems engineering, integrated logistics support, engineering consulting and acquisition program management.

Job Description

  • Provision of Specialist Support in the field of ILS and RAM engineering as directed by customer management;
  • Provision of specialist support in the field of systems engineering and the integration and alignment of support analysis activities to project requirements and Major System Reviews
  • Support the development of Support System artefacts, including review and assessment of contractor artefacts;
  • Development of support system Reliability, Availability and Maintainability Requirements;
  • Collaborating with key stakeholders;
  • Set Platform Availability Requirements;
  • Estimate and set requirements for maintenance activities, including crew fatigue;
  • Estimate and set Naval Stores requirements;
  • Mentoring and guidance of team members less experienced in the field, on an individual and group basis.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor and/or master’s degree qualified ILS practitioner with strong knowledge, experience, and expertise in maritime programs. Naval experience is strongly preferred
  • A minimum of 10 years RAM and/or ILS program experience, including knowledge and experience of recent major naval programs and practices
  • Experience in RCM, and condition based monitoring
  • Experience in failure mode effects analysis and investigations
  • Experience developing, reviewing and managing contractual requirements, project plans and business processes
  • Experience in managing strategic direction for maintenance requirements
  • A positive, customer-focused attitude, with high professional standards
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills
  • Ability to collaborate with and coordinate work across a complex stakeholder group with divergent interests.
  • Four years or more experience managing or leading teams of various sizes, including experience managing experienced professionals who exercise latitude and independence in their assignments.

Additional Information

The successful applicant is required to hold a valid NV1 security clearance or have the ability to obtain and maintain a valid security clearance as well as other mandatory background checks including a National Police check.
