Job Description

Your New Role

The Training Support Lead is responsible for managing and executing all training requirements, implement training and development plans; and facilitate a wide variety of training programs.

Specific functions and responsibilities include:

  • Identify and assess the training needs of the organisation through job analysis, career paths and consultation with stakeholders.
  • Evaluate existing training and collaborate with stakeholders to develop training materials that achieve defined learning outcomes
  • Collaborate with stakeholders in developing the schedule of training delivery
  • Design and develop training material that targets tangible results
  • Conduct trial courses for newly developed training solutions
  • Implement effective and purposeful training methods, whilst meeting training needs.
  • Maintain all training documentation, including Learning Management Programs, processes and procedures
  • Evaluate organisational performance to ensure training is meeting business needs and improving performance
  • Effectively communicate with team members, management and stakeholders
  • Manage the technologies and technical personnel required to develop, manage and deliver training
  • Keep abreast of training needs, developments and best practices.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • The ability to achieve and maintain an NV1 level security clearance.
  • Holds as a minimum Certificate IV Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or equivalent)

Experience

Coupled with your education and practical experience, you will demonstrate a pro-active approach with the ability to understand the business, identify issues and develop relationships to achieve the company’s objectives.  You will also have:

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in training and development management
  • Current or very recent experience using an eLearning authoring tool, such as Adobe Captivate
  • Current or very recent experience managing technology-based Learning Management Systems (LMS)

Skills

Your personal and professional attributes will include strong and proven problem solving and organisational skills, together with an appreciation of the importance of technical regulation and governance. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, together with the ability to coach and mentor others to further the professional development of the team.

  • Strong track record in developing and executing successful training programs
  • Critical thinker with innovative problem solving skills
  • Computer literate with proficiency in MS Office and related business and communication tools
  • Familiar with traditional and modern training processes

Please note that candidates must be Australian citizens and hold or be able to obtain and hold an NV-2 security clearance.
