Job Description

Your new role

We have a new opportunity for an Infrastructure Engineer to sit within our Corporate CIO Services team. This role will be based in our Kingston office and report into our IT Infrastructure Team Lead. Your day to day responsibilities will include;

·       Carry out systems engineering assignments requiring familiarity and expertise with a broad field of engineering and technical knowledge;

·       Assist with functional analysis to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications;

·       Prepare for and participate in engineering/peer reviews;

·       Assist with the planning, conduct and coordination of system engineering activities for designated work packages and projects;

Qualifications

About you 

We are looking for people who are engaging communicators and with technical and interpersonal skills, including:

  • Working knowledge of Virtualisation technologies (VMware, Hyper-V);
  • Working knowledge of SAN technologies, including iSCSI and Fibre Channel;
  • Working knowledge of Active Directory;
  • Working knowledge of Exchange;
  • Working knowledge of or interest in learning Sharepoint;

·       Working knowledge of server infrastructure and support of server infrastructure across a majority of the major server vendors;

  • Familiarity with networking infrastructure (Cisco L2/L3 networking);
  • Familiarity with Cisco CUCM & Unity;
  • Familiarity with Skype,
  • Excellent critical thinking skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex problems.
  • An interest and the willingness to learn about Cloud Technologies
