To support this we are seeking talented agile Software Engineers who meet the criteria for the highest Australian government security clearance and are willing undertake the process required to achieve that clearance, while remaining in your current Leidos role until completing the clearance process, which can take approximately 12-18 months.

These are developed using the latest agile processes and industry best practices, leveraging leading commercial and open source frameworks and tools. Skills in Java and React would be advantageous to the successful candidate.

You will:

• Design innovative software solutions to complex problems
• Participate in/lead agile story mapping and estimation
• Utilise your expertise in Java, C++, Linux, Javascript, SQL and no-SQL databases
• Develop software using a Test Driven Development mindset
• Contribute to Continuous Integration processes
• Integrate and deploy complex systems using SecDevOps practices
• Undertake web focused User Interface development and User Experience evolution
• Research, prototype, investigate and develop technologies and systems
• Support operational systems
• Participate in customer workshops
• Develop/deliver customer end-user training
• Be keen to learn new technologies in order to satisfy the needs of our technologically sophisticated customer base

This opportunity is based in Scoresby. If you are wanting to relocate to Melbourne we would support relocation.

About You and What you will Bring

• You must have a Bachelor Degree (or higher) in Software Engineering, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering (with software engineering experience).
• Positions are available for candidates with a wide range of industry work experience from 3 yrs to 12+ yrs. 
• This role requires the successful applicant to engage in the process for obtaining a high level Australian Government security clearance.

Due to the nature of this work this role does require the successful applicant to be an Australian Citizen and hold an NV-1 security clearance. Please note that this role does present an opportunity to obtain a higher clearance.

The successful candidate may need to meet International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements applicable to this role, and your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.
