About you and What You’ll Bring

We have an opportunity for a Facilities and Security Manager to be responsible for effectively coordinating facilities and security activities across our Moore st office.  This role will also see you interpret, recommend and advise aspects of the workplace, security, health and safety regulations and company policies. Please note this is a long-term temp role for approx. 6-9 months. 

Reporting to the National Facilities Manager, your duties will include;

  • Coordinate all aspects of site property, facility and plant maintenance and support, ensuring site assets are protected and maintained to the highest standards. 
  • Establish and manage operational functions to support the running of the specific facilities, including access, cleaning, maintenance, and coordination of resources such as meeting rooms and car parking.
  • Liaise with relevant managers to effectively plan and manage the maintenance and repair of designated facility systems.
  • Ensure that facilities and plants are maintained in a manner that complies with regulatory requirements and supports the business and the staff.
  • Implementing, coordinating and overseeing all security measures for the protection of national security classified material (including Secret, Protected, Official:Sensitive and Unclassified) under Leidos Australia’s direct control.
  •  Developing, implementing and reviewing the SMP, ensuring that it reflects employee and contractor responsibilities, security appointments and current Defence security policy, procedures and conditions relevant to classified activities undertaken by Leidos Australia.
  •  Developing and maintaining a Facility Security Register (FSR) detailing all aspects of security classified activities undertaken by Leidos Australia.
  • Facilitating personal security clearances and associated actions.
  • Maintaining a current list of security-cleared employees and contractors indicating full name, nationality, security clearance level and date, limitations, and special access approvals. Any changes to this list must be advised to DS&VS (e.g. an employee departing Leidos Australia).

Qualifications

You will demonstrate a proactive approach with the ability to understand the business, identify issues and develop relationships to achieve Leidos objectives. 

  •  Experience with fit-outs of office spaces.
  • Professional experience in a hands-on team environment, providing first point of contact support for facilities management and administration.
  • Professional experience in performing activities associated with daily facilities management, including assessment, prioritisation and resolution of facilities/ WHS issues.
  • Effective use of Maintenance Management Systems (MMS) and the ability to analyse maintenance/spares reports and information.
  • Professional experience liaising with service contractors and service providers.
