Job Description

We have an opportunity for an ambitious and keen to learn professional to join our Business Development team as a Proposal Analyst. With support and training, this role will assist in the development of key Government programs and be responsible for the management of the capture process required to identify and track opportunities. The emphasis will be on ensuring the development and delivery of quality proposals to our customers. Reporting directly to the BD Lead, the role will have a focus on ensuring capture process activities are communicated to the wider team and successfully undertaken. 

Key functions of the role include:

  • Manage the capture process, and the submission of proposals within strict timeframes.
  • Make recommendation to move opportunities through the capture process and associated critical gates.
  • Create new and update opportunity-specific information in Proposal Registers and administer the SharePoint Collaborative Capture Environment and manage user access and permissions.
  • Engage BD, line of business, commercial and pricing leads to ensure capture activities are successfully undertaken and meet quality standards.
  • Create templates for proposal documents and provide training to authors on how to edit the templates and assist authors with document editing and version control.
  • Schedule and manage meetings with stakeholders.
  • Drive Business Approval Review process and engage with Management, Commercial and Financial approvers.
  • Contribute to process improvement.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will ideally have experience as a proposal analyst in preparing new bids or supporting on contract growth from project delivery. However, what we are really seeking is an ambitious individual who is keen to grow and learn, has outstanding people skills and understands the importance of process in driving successful outcomes. Excellent technical writing skills and the ability to manage competing priorities and a professional nature are also important, as is a ‘can-do’ and pro-active approach to understanding capture operations alongside an ability to develop positive relationships.

You will have the following skills and/or qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to use MS Office suite of products and other software tools of a complex nature
  • Demonstrated experience in planning, facilitating and co-ordinating Proposal / Tender / Sales documentation and other enabling activities
  • Some professional experience in authoring and co-authoring documents and a desire to learn more.
  • Proven experience working within a team under high tempo to deadlines.
  • Able to produce excellent results in complex environments
  • Are able to build and maintain effective working relationships across all levels
  • While stated experience is essential, a Bachelor degree or higher in Business, ICT or a related discipline or relevant professional experience and specialised training is highly desirable.

Additional Information

This role does require the successful applicant to be an Australian Citizen and ideally have a current Baseline security clearance or be eligible to obtain one.
