Job Description

The Role

Leidos are seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to join a team providing infrastructure support and administration of LAN, WAN, data centre and site offices at corporate and customer sites.  The role involves working on a mix of third-level support and operational and project-based work.  

Your Responsibilities 

  • Provide management and delivery of Cisco-based network services in support of our Australian and Asia Pacific Region operations
  • Provide a point of escalation for other team members in the identification and resolution of network-related problems
  • Manage LAN, WAN, SDWAN and wireless network systems, monitoring and performance
  • Provide subject matter expertise in the development, documentation and implementation of network-related components for projects
  • Work directly with the Chief Engineer, Solutions Architect and other project support staff, and with our internal Cyber team in the design, documentation and rollout of network services

Qualifications

What You'll Bring

  • Qualification and/or extensive relevant experience in Network Engineering and Network Support across medium/large enterprise networks, with relevant education/qualifications to the level of CCIE/CCNP or equivalent.
  • Enterprise skills in the installation, maintenance and change management of network and telecommunications infrastructure, systems such as routers, switches, load balancers, wireless and software-defined networking, firewalls (Cisco, F5, HPE/Aruba and Palo Alto) and routing protocols (OSPF, BGP) along with a solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP.
  • Ability to undertake fault identification, analyse performance anomalies and deliver resolutions for network and ICT systems infrastructure issues in a production environment, in line with service level agreements.
