Your New Career

The focus of the role will be on the asset management of key ICT infrastructure, encompassing all hardware and software, including licenses and agreements to ensure the ongoing delivery of ICT support services to a major government client. This will include:

  • Management of all ICT inventory, ensuring an adequate provision of hardware is on-hand for the ongoing optimal operation of all infrastructure, including maintenance.
  • Minimising infrastructure downtime by ensuring the adequate stocking of hardware and parts for both maintenance and upgrade requirements.
  • Ensuring effective asset management to oversee life cycle maintenance and integrated product support of major systems.
  • Controlling the flow of goods, services and information between the point of origin through customer placement in order to meet customer requirements
    as well as ensure the execution and improvement of standard logistic processes.
  • Overseeing the strategic management of software and technology related hardware.
  • Driving a continuous improvement approach in asset management as well as in tracking company assets.
  • Working closely with financial, and legal departments in actioning budgets, proposals, and vendor contracts for acquisition, monitoring, and compliance of hardware/software assets.
  • Continuously improving processes and procedures for determining hardware and software system requirements and overseeing quality control throughout their lifecycles.

Qualifications

About you and What you Will Bring;

Ideally, you will have commenced your career as an Engineer operating in the ICT industry. You will have then moved on to a asset management or procurement role which has involved you managing both inventory and assets for key infrastructure on a multi-site basis. Crucially, your experience to date will combine strong asset management skills / experience with a key understanding of the application of the assets being managed. Your experience will include:

  • A strong insight into not only asset management but how they work together as a whole.
  • Asset management experience in relation to hardware and software in a large ICT setting.
  • A strategic approach to asset management, ensuring maintenance and downtime are minimized.
  • Experience working with licensing and software agreements.

This is an outstanding opportunity to lead the asset management function for a growing ICT systems integrator working with a major Federal Government client.
