Your New Role

We are looking for a Network Administrator capable of maintaining the solution for mission critical business systems. This role will work closely with the business analysis and software engineering teams to provide seamless, all-round support. 

Under the direction of a designated supervisor, perform the following functions as individual assignments or as part of a team:

  • Install, configure, upgrade and maintain network systems and services
  • Support the installation, configuration and upgrade of software tools including virtualization and application discovery tool-sets, and commercial user tools
  • Set up administrator and user accounts, maintain system documentation, monitor and tune system performance
  • Interact with users and evaluate vendor products
  • Manage incidents and requests in line with the set framework by utilising customised in-house toolsets
  • Investigate and resolve user requests and problems for the support system
  • Identify problems in the infrastructure environment and action them accordingly, 
  • Liaise with the respective business technology groups to administer, support and manage existing infrastructure deployments & functions.

This role does require the successful applicant to be an Australian Citizen and to hold a NV-1 AGSVA Security Clearance.

About You and What You'll Bring

You will be a customer oriented Network Administrator with the ability to communicate face to face as well as at the help desk – your main aim is to learn and grow within the organisation while supporting our client base. 

Coupled with your education and practical experience, you will demonstrate a pro-active approach with the ability to understand the business, identify issues and develop relationships to achieve the company’s objectives. You will also have:

  • Thorough knowledge of network devices and network configuration to support a small but complex ICT system
  • A comparable amount of experience of administering a multi-domain/Active Directory user environment over a wide area TCP/IP network
  • Some working experience in server, desktop & active directory administration and support in a medium-to-large scale environment.  Preferably in the public sector
  • A comparable amount of experience of administering a multi-domain/Active Directory user environment over a wide area TCP/IP network
  • Windows Active Directory and other related technologies such as DHCP, DNS, etc.
  • Previous experience with Storage and Backup support
  • Experience with SCCM, SCOM ,SQL, and SharePoint (desirable)
