Your New Role

Design, develop, deploy and maintain integration between IT Systems. Perform systems engineering functions in support of operations and management systems.
Create and update technical documentation including requirements gathering and analysis, detailed designs based on a high level design, implementation plans to support the build of the system(s), and operational procedures and work instructions for ongoing support of the system(s).

Requirements of the role to include:

  •  Lead projects within the technical team to achieve assigned objectives and ensure technical performance.
  • Be a key contact for clients, including for significant technical matters that can require coordination between multiple organisations.
  • Build system and application components based on High Level Designs.
  • Install, configure and debug system interactions to fulfil high level design component interactions.
  • Interact with architects and engineers to develop and solidify detailed designs and deployment architectures based on high level designs, including interaction with other systems.
  • Develop technical specifications and documentation, including technology specific data models to support application needs.
  • Perform application development and testing of components, modifications, and overall systems in addition to application tuning, problem analysis and resolution.
  • Provide input into or develop and implement training and documentation for applications configured and solutions, including procedure and work instruction documentation.
  • Provide effort estimates for task planning and project scheduling.
  • Contribute to the overall software development lifecycle including requirements gathering/analysis, design, development technologies, release / version control, testing and deployment.
  • Gather requirements, perform requirements analysis and engineering and ensure traceability through all phases of design and build to delivery of the solution to meet business outcomes and customer needs.
  • Perform unit testing and support systems integration and user acceptance testing of developed solutions
  • Provide Subject Matter Expertise and support to operational teams in resolution of incident and problem tickets.

The following core skills are essential:

  • Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer.
  • Develop, implement and maintain an enterprise Standard Operating Environment (SOE) based on Microsoft Windows 10.
  • Deliver to agreed project milestones in a dynamic and high paced environment.
  • Extensive Experience with Government COE Standard.
  • Extensive Experience with Windows 7/8/10 Enterprise, Windows Server 2008/2012.
  • Extensive experience in Active Directory Group Policy, with MDT and using Task Schedulers.
  • Ability to design and administer solutions with the following toolsets and capabilities: McAfee AV, Whitelisting, Host based firewalls, WMI, SCCM 2012, App-V, UE-V, Application Packaging (Installshield, Wyse, Orca), Automation, VDI (Citrix, VMWare), Vsphere.
  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft platforms to design, build, and configure.
  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft AD and security models to configure application interaction in an integrated fashion.
  • “Subject matter expertise” in IT Infrastructure technologies, specifically Wintel and VMWare
  • Demonstrated systems engineering experience designing, building, implementing and transitioning new capabilities and systems
