Our Threat Hunt Specialists are senior cybersecurity team members who want to go looking for the things automated tools miss. You will be involved in incident response as well as proactively finding vulnerabilities before others do.

Qualifications

About You and What You’ll Bring

  • Proactively test for network, server and system vulnerabilities in critical infrastructure;
  • Assist with identifying gaps in monitoring;
  • Keep on top of emerging advanced threats including zero days;
  • Monitor vendor websites and other sources of information for recent vulnerabilities and assess their risk to the network; and
  • Receive targeted classified intelligence, determine possible indicators of compromise and identify any exposure.

You will have the following skills/knowledge:

  • Experience in a similar role, within a similar Defence environment
  • Experience with scanning and vulnerability management on large complex networks
  • Solid experience penetration testing, red teaming
  • Intermediate experience with distributed Nessus deployments

Additional Information

Successful candidates will be required to be Australian Citizens and be able to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Security Clearance. NV-2 Clearance preferred, but an NV-1 cleared candidate with strong experience and team fit will be considered. This role requires tasks to be performed onsite due to the nature of the networks used.

The successful candidate may need to meet International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements applicable to this role, and your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.
