Your New Role

Leidos has been engaged by Defence to provide cutting edge cyber capabilities to support Australia's Defence mission.  We are seeking inquisitive and delivery focused people to ensure its success.

The Security Architect role is a critical role in this customer centric service delivery. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a high performing team doing important and interesting work.

The role has the following high level responsibilities

  • End to end architectural design decisions including strategic direction;
  • Tool/Service assessment;
  • Ensuring compliance with Leidos, customer and other requirements;
  • Developing high level and low level designs;
  • Developing as built or other required artefacts;
  • Assisting with deployments including performance and security tuning;
  • Recommend improvement opportunities across the networks including cybersecurity and non cybersecurity services; and
  • Assist with routine upgrades and platform refreshes.

Qualifications

About You and What You'll Bring

You are a seasoned Security Architect, and must have experience in a Defence environment. 

You will be expected to have broad skills/knowledge in the following areas

  • Defence, classified or hardened network deployment experience
  • Information Security Manual (ISM), Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF)
  • Hands on intermediate or better experience across a broad range of technologies including
  • Cisco routers and switches
  • Firewalls
  • Proxies
  • Endpoint security software
  • NIPS/HIPS products
  • SIEM products
  • Windows and related software such as SCCM
  • Linux
  • Virtualisation technologies such as Vmware
  • Risk management
  • Compliance challenges
  • 5 years in senior operational infrastructure role
  • 3 years IT architecture experience
  • Basic financial knowledge/costing experience

These roles are ideally located in Canberra however we will consider exceptional candidates in other locations or willing to relocate. Candidates with active NV1 or higher security clearance are preferred.
