Qualifications

About the role and the Project

The teams that you will manage are diverse and highly skilled. They manage a backlog of diverse demand from our operational customers through development, integration, testing and security into production. Ultimately the app store directly supports ADF planning, operations and activities.

The Mission App Store Delivery Manager will have multiple touch points during any day across configuration, maintenance, engineering, project and accreditation activities in an agile devops environment.  Communication is key, as is an ability manage multiple teams.

You responsibilities will include:

  • Be accountable for and ensure the effective transfer of required capabilities from backlog through to production
  • Run an efficient and effective devops ‘factory’ capable of prolific production in the sustainment & upgrade of the app store
  • Ensuring that appropriate plans/polices for all agreed services are in place, are communicated and are followed throughout
  • Effective planning, optimisation and oversight of the design, development, operation and acceptance of solutions and services
  • Coordinate implementation activities, providing effective team leadership, including information flow to and from Leidos onsite mission team
  • Co-ordinate routine installations and de-installations of items of hardware and/or software
  • Leverage subject matter expertise within your team and in the broader Leidos Australia and Leidos global organisations
  • Promote and realise ongoing improvements in the delivery of value to Defence through the selective adoption of people, processes, technologies and data
  • Actively contribute to the program senior leadership team through your input, behaviours, gravitas and example

Technical Skills

  • Previous experience in Service Delievery and/or Service Design
  • Experience in Risk Management, Service Improvement and Stakeholder Management
  • Experience of Defence software life-cycle management and change/release processes.
  • Ability to work and team effectively with IT Services groups and other defence capability managers
  • Understanding of management requirements for teams of testers, system administrators and level 1-3 support.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated the capability to multi-task across multiple activities and projects
  • Ability to demonstrate outputs to stakeholders 
  • ITIL V3 Foundation (minimum)

NV-1 security clearance or higher will be required for this role.
