About your new role

As a Cyber Technical Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting Leidos Australia’s bids and ongoing programs by providing tailored cyber security advice and enabling our customers through risk based security actions. You will:

  • Support current Leidos AU projects and BAU teams through the provision of tailored technical Cyber Security advice in accordance with current Australian Cyber Security frameworks, business requirements and best practice.
  • Contribute to the Leidos Australia Cyber Security Strategy, talent continuum, and best practice security architectures.
  • Support the Leidos AU proposal bid teams in the generation of technical design and documentation for capability bids.
  • Conduct research and development into emerging technology fields to identify future opportunities to enhance Leidos AU business through new and existing projects.
  • Generate relationships with Leidos AU technical capability partners and evaluate their products to enable the selection of best of breed products and solutions for Leidos AU propals.
  • Contribute to design decisions associated with risk based implementation of security controls;
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships across all levels and influence key stakeholders from within Leidos AU and our customers

About you and what you'll bring:

  • Substantial professional experience with cyber security, including previous experience in a range of technical areas such as Incident Response, Penetration Testing, Security Architecture, and Security Research
  • Experience in Government information assurance requirements including the Australian Government Information Security Manual;
  • Experience working on large, complex ICT projects and/or in Defence ICT;
  • A current NV1 clearance will be required. 

Qualifications

Qualifications

A Bachelor degree or higher in software engineering, computer science or a related discipline is desired but not necessary. Substantial relevant professional experience and specialised training will be highly regarded. Relevant certifications or Professional membership would be desirable.
