Job Description

This is a transformational and strategic role with the CTO team, that spans traditional business functions within a Hybrid Cloud managed service provider. Transformational change management, commercially oriented service design and leadership, communication and negotiation skills are essential with technical and business stakeholders. You will interpret and translate customer requirements to lead the development of integrated services solutions focussing on sustainability, transparency, efficiency, lean and agile principles, whilst maximising the services portfolio value to our customer(s). In this role you will act as the authority for leading the ongoing services solution processes, leading the development of services descriptions, cost estimates, and service levels design, to present innovative support services proposals to Leidos ICT managed services customers..

You will advise operational and delivery teams in relation to service strategy and service design.  Playing a key role in managing the service portfolio, the Service Architect partners with Customer Relationship Managers, Commercial Management, Strategic Sourcing, and Finance to develop differentiated Leidos solutions and commercial offerings that shape the digital services mix in ways that are desirable, feasible and viable.

To be successful in this role you will show the ability to provide strategic direction which enables the delivery of sustainable, value for money, fit for purpose services and technologies that meet the business requirements of our customers.

Ability to understand customer contract requirements, develop technology & commercial strategy, and cost estimates to support the design and pricing of new service products to innovate and transform the existing services portfolio.

Work with technical architects and delivery managers to understand the technical capabilities and translate it to commercial service products that are valuable to the customer and profitable for the company.

You will demonstrate the ability to drive the development of architectural services, technology blueprints and roadmaps within a large, diverse, complex organisation.

This role will require you to develop and manage client and stakeholder relationships, facilitate open communication and disseminate information as well as having excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technology services in business terms, establish rapport and persuade others.

 

Qualifications

·       Must have worked in a similar role as a presales / service architect in an ICT service provider organisation or similar, having worked on large deals taking ownership of managed services design and basis of estimates in creating new cloud service products.

·       Experience in designing and pricing service offerings for short term to win deals and translating it into profitable products for the company with a clear strategy.

·       Strong technical depth and breadth in designing service products for federal government customers.

·       Good industry awareness and understanding of competitor market and their service offerings.

·       Demonstrated ability to author, present and articulate service offerings to customers, aligned to their business requirements.

·       Ability to create business plans for new products & services.

·       Technology architect or presales experience.
