Job Description

Under the general direction of the Service Delivery Manager the key responsibilities of the Information Management Lead are to:

  • Plan, design, implement and run the Information Management (IM) service for the program's Development Centre
  • Coordinate the activities of the IM team
  • Develop and maintain IM policies, procedures and work instructions
  • Ensure these documents are updated as necessary and stored in the Knowledge Base (KB)
  • Ensure that all KB material (not just IM) is maintained and current
  • Ensure alignment with Defence Enterprise Information Management (EIM)
  • Ensure, monitor and report on compliance with Government policies, manuals and Legislation
  • Provide advice on IM matters and act as an SME to developers, users and stakeholders
  • Support preparation of deployable data loads
  • Maintain an IM audit schedule Manage annual audits and run monthly spot check audits in line with the schedule
  • Process Service Requests when required and maintain the IM component of the risk register
  • Monitor and report on the IM team activities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Government IM working groups.

Qualifications

About You and What You'll Bring

A degree from an accredited institution in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration or a related discipline.

Mandatory

  • The ability to achieve and maintain an NV1 level security clearance
  • Demonstrated experience in at least one of, Information Management, Risk, Compliance, Audit, Governance or Information Security with focus on complying with standards and legislation
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and maintain Customer Relationships
  • Demonstrated experience in dealing with all levels of an organisation and tailoring information (reports or presentation) to suite the recipients
  • Experience in developing and maintaining Policies, procedures and working Instructions
  • Experience in developing and maintaining cyclic work schedules (such as audit or risk schedules) 
  • Experience with ITIL (V3 or 4) with a strong understanding of Change Control, Service Requests, Knowledge Base, Incident and problem Management
  • Demonstrated expertise and experience in the interpretation of business and customer requirements or proposed changes and identifying the possible impacts to service delivery.

Desirable

  • Experience in working in large complex mission critical environments with numerous customers and multiple vendors delivering components of the service
  • Experience leading a small team that interacts with all areas of the organisation
  • Experience with JIRA and Confluence
  • Experience working with Federal Government department or agencies.
