Your new role

Under the support and direction of the Training Lead we are looking for more than one instructor to support the training  on coordination of the training and the site. We are focused on the end user - you will be coordinating all the onsite training with the training mangers and FSR manager to ensure the people we are training understand, work with and learn all the products that will be supporting them within the CBRND field.  It is a role that will see you based at Kapooka the majority of the time with extensive training in the products with the Melbourne and Sydney based teams. We are looking for a collaborative and inclusive individual that can wear multiple hats and enjoys a challenge!  We will need someone that likes to plan, set up and execute!

As the training will be coordinated out of this site you will be looking to support the training of new products and systems on an ongoing basis.

This will include:

  • Assisting with the ongoing re-development and production of required Learning Management Packages and associated course product when required.
  • Participating in Training Effectiveness Analysis (TEA) studies and analysis.
  • Maintaining Learning Management Packages (LGMPs) and assessment products.
  • Assists with the conduct of broader team training (for example) Dangerous Goods training.
  • Maintains the physical baselines for training artefacts in support of courses.
  • Assists with the coordination and execution of LAND 2110 group based training.
  • Assist in the development of user standard operating procedures (SOP) for new software and hardware, lesson plans, hand-outs, reference sheets and functional hands-on training exercises.

Qualifications

Coupled with your education and practical experience, you will demonstrate a pro-active approach with the ability to understand the business, identify issues and develop relationships to achieve the company’s objectives. You will also have:

  • More than five years’ leadership experience in military training and operations.
  • Demonstrated experience with Service Level and Performance Management.
  • Demonstrated technical skills, preferably in the CBRND equipment support and operations environment or equivalent area.
  • Demonstrated experience in the application of the Systems Approach to Defence Learning (SADL) and/or the ADDIE Instructional Design framework.
  • Demonstrated experience as an individual contributor and leader of small teams working across the training lifecycle.
  • Highly Desirable: Demonstrated experience as a Military CBRN/D Instructor or operator.
  • Desirable: Demonstrated ability to plan and execute individual specialist and small group collective training in essential CBRND competencies.
  • Comply with relevant approved alcohol and drug testing policy for Safety Critical Area operations
