Job Description

We have an opportunity with one of our key programs providing support and maintenance of a large enterprise environment spanning multiple locations, both within Australia and Internationally. Reporting to the Storage and Data Protection Manager the main responsibilities of this role will include - but not limited - to, setting up administrator and service accounts, tuning system performance, installing system wide software, and supporting network equipment. You'll also provide input into policies, procedures, and SOP’s relating to maintenance and management of the operational Network and Interact with users and technical subject matter experts to ensure delivery is fit for purpose.

Other key accountabilities include

  • Ensuring the provision of an effective IT Support service including network management, installation of system wide software, tuning of system performance
  • Providing subject matter expertise and IT support and advice for entrain projects
  • Reviewing and recommending updates to project submitted documentation prior to acceptance into the production environment
  • Maintaining system documentation
  • Monitoring and tuning system performance to ensure maximum efficiency
  • Identifying and resolving any customer identified issues in a consultative manner
  • Day to day management of the Network, including fault remediation, firewall creation and modification, VLAN creation, modification and deletion

Qualifications

About you

You have substantial knowledge and application of a broad range of skills including software, systems and enterprise architecture, engineering, and interface protocols

  • Experience and knowledge of Cisco and Palo Alto networking desirable.
  • Substantial experience working in a large enterprise environments
  • Strong individual contributor and team player in a professional environment
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
  • Good initiative in developing and improving systems and procedures
  • Strong conceptual, analytical and interpretive skills with high level of attention to details
  • Cisco Networking technologies including, Firewall ASA, Security Manager, UCS suite
  • NXOS Switching, Netscaler, Load Balancing and UCSD
  • Palo Alto networking hardware and software
  • Relevant certifications or Professional membership relating to Cisco products and suites
