Your new role

This role will work with the training team to deliver training as the Lead Instructor, for all the CBRND equipment Leidos are providing to the Australian Defence Force as part of our Project Land 2110. As with any training we have the end user in mind, ideally we would have someone with experience in CBRND to ensure the training is fit for purpose. You will be involved in training administration, coordination, project management and artefact development and review.

You will have exceptional stakeholder skills you will be able to foster a collaborative working relationships with Commonwealth stakeholders at the course level to ensure the end user needs are exceeded

Qualifications

About you and what you’ll bring

You will have a training background, used to the end to end process of and have exceptional problem-solving capabilities, You will need to coordinate training events that will be run at various bases around Australia. Experience is group training is essential, these courses will be delivered face to face with practicals as part of the course. We will be using contractors to support some of the artefacts, and delivery.

You will also have:

  • Certificate IV Training and Education (TAE40116).
  • At least a  Diploma level qualification from an accredited institution in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with some relevant working experience and specialised training that is commensurate with the assignment.
  • Desirable: ADF Training Development Officer Course.
  • Desirable: Under or Post graduate qualifications in CBRN, engineering, training or other related fields.

Experience

Coupled with your education and practical experience, you will demonstrate a pro-active approach with the ability to understand the business, identify issues and develop relationships to achieve the company’s objectives.  You will also have:

  • More than eight years’ leadership experience in military training and operations.
  • Demonstrated experience with Service Level and Performance Management.
  • Demonstrated experience in the application of the Systems Approach to Defence Learning (SADL) and/or the ADDIE Instructional Design framework.
  • Demonstrated experience an individual contributor and leader of small teams working across the training lifecycle.
  • Desirable: Demonstrated ability to plan and execute individual specialist and small group collective training in essential CBRND competencies.

Additional Information

This role does require the successful applicant to be an Australian Citizen and have the ability to hold and maintain a current Baseline security clearance.
