We have an opportunity for an experienced Buyer to join our Sourcing & Commercial Management team.  This position will see you engage with multiple stakeholders across the enterprise

Reporting to the SCM Shared Services Lead and liaising within project teams, this role will see you;

  • Work in a strong team of Procurement Officers, Senior Procurement Officers and Material Planners
  • Act as delegate for the Procurement Manager and / or SCM Shared Services Lead as required
  • Lead both Direct and Indirect Categories across multiple projects
  • Manage Purchase Card acquisitions and Purchase Orders through the Procure to Pay (P2P) system
  • Lead price/rate negotiations, purchase order creation and ongoing management of said
  • Lead & drive price/rate efficencies and cost savings across the SCM team
  • Manage contract negotiation & implementation with key suppliers
  • Onboard new suppliers & manage in relevant systems
  • Develop & distribute procurement reports
  • Undertake market approaches RFQ, RFP, ITT
  • In-Country P2P SME
  • Build and sustain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Support Leidos 12 month plan initiatives

Qualifications

About you and What you Will Bring;

  • 3 + years in a similar role with a focus on Procurement of direct & indirect categories
  • Experience in leading procurement teams
  • Knowledge of MRP/ERP & experience preferred
  • Ability to engage and influence key stakeholders
  • Proven experience in identifying issues and providing positive outcomes
  • Proactive approach to identifying & implementing cost saving initiatives – budget reduction
  • Career driven with an ability to thrive in an exciting dynamic environment
  • Strong collaborative ethic with a team mentality
