Your New Role

As a warehouse operator, you will play an important role in ensuring our warehouse operates with optimum precision and efficiency. You will also be responsible for managing the supply chain process, handling customer orders and interactions, implementing safety regulations, checking all packages for quality assurance and taking inventory of all warehouse stock. You will also be required to complete basic cleaning duties to keep the warehouse tidy.

It is preferable if applicants have experience in temporary warehouse lead role's and be willing to step up into such a role if one becomes available within the organisation.  If the opportunity does arise, this will involve leading by example a team of people to achieve the successful operation and outcome of the warehouse as well as being responsible for the day to day running of the warehouse floor. 

You will be joining a small, dynamic team in a brand new and modern facility.

Qualifications

About You and What You'll Bring

Individuals in this role should be extremely detail oriented and should adhere to all warehouse safety practices as well as demonstrate exceptional organizational, time management, and communication skills.

You will also have:

  • Warehouse experience, including Inwards and Outwards Freight;
  • Forklift licence;
  • Relevant Workplace Health and Safety training for Australian operations;
  • Experience in maintaining inventory and supplies by receiving, storing, delivering items, stocktaking and securing a warehouse;
  • Good knowledge of information technology tools used for supply support and asset management, eg Costpoint and SAP;
  • Ability to work well in a small team but can also work independently; and
  • Experience with MILIS/Defence logistic process
The successful candidate must:
  •  Have the ability to gain and maintain a Baseline Australian Defence Security Clearance; and
  • Comply with relevant approved alcohol and drug testing policy for Safety Critical Area operations.
