Are you a SharePoint administrator that holds a current NV1 or NV2 clearance? If this is you and you would like to be based and work in Canberra we would love to hear from you.

About the role and the Project

This team is a diversely experienced team that will see you assisting each other to provide onsite support for SharePoint and other applications as and when required. The role will see you supporting the end users with what is needed, whether that be the issues, admin and helping with projects.

The SharePoint Administrator will have multiple touch points during any day where the end users, Business Analysts and technical partners will be your main stakeholders. Communication is key, as is an ability to provide exceptional customer service!

You responsibilities will include:

  • Understand and contribute to the SharePoint improvement and application management
  • Participate in planning and execution of tasks related to SharePoint based initiatives
  • Support and maintain document libraries, enterprise lists and site collections
  • Assist with special projects as needed including determining requirements; selecting, and implementing new tools and technologies; and designing and developing customer training
  • Work with customers of all levels to understand their needs a provide options to potions to help solve their problems using the tools and resources available
  • Coordinate with stakeholders in standardising and optimising the way data/information is stored, retrieved, and protected
  • Perform typical system administrative activities such as site creation, user training, backup, restore and issue resolution
  • Maintain and administer SharePoint, including daily monitoring, troubleshooting and performance analysis ensuring high availability of the SharePoint environment

You will be a problem solver – resourceful and practical! One that can see the bigger picture so priorities can be determined and actioned.  You will also have attention to detail as these applications support ADF operations and activities.

Your experience within Defence environment will be broad, whilst experience of Joint Operations would be advantageous it is not a necessity. You will be an excellent communicator and someone that builds and maintain great relationships.

Your verbal communications skills will see you:

  • Interact and work cooperatively with your team members to achieve goals together
  • Develop and maintain strong stakeholder relationships at all levels
  • Communicate complex procedures and information to a variety of audiences

Technical Skills

  • Experience working with SharePoint Enterprise 
  • Understanding of ITIL Framework
  • Experience with Nintex workflows
  • Experience with Defence 
  • Demonstrated the capability to multi-task across multiple activities and projects
  • Ability to demonstrate outputs to stakeholders 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Productivity Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, and Visio) is required.

 

Please be aware that some on-call and out of hours work may be required.

Additional Information

This role does require the successful applicant to be an Australian Citizen and ideally have a current NV-2 security clearance or be eligible to obtain one.
