This role sits in a small close knit team that works closely with our client. Our team has a diverse mix of skills and cross training is a strategy, so flexibility will be required. 

About your new role
Your role as a Linux Redhat Systems Support Engineer will include:
•  Installing, configuring, upgrading and maintaining computer systems, operating systems and services along with provision troubleshooting in Linux and Windows environments

•  Supporting the installation, configuration and upgrade of Linux hosted software tools including virtualization and application discovery tool-sets, and commercial user tools

•  Setting up administrator and user accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocating mass storage space.

•  Providing technical solutions on a wide range of complex IT related problems, and independently determine and develop approaches to solutions. Solutions should be innovative, thorough, complete and consistent with program objectives.

About You
Working for Leidos, you will be required to work as part of a team but have the maturity to work autonomously. Your strong communication, interpersonal and technical skills will be key to establishing yourself with the customer and team.

Ideally you will have a strong working knowledge of the following technologies:

• RHEL Linux (Python scripting highly regarded)
• Good Experience in CLI
• Experience in RHEL 7 (REHL 8 Highly Regarded) 
• Experience in Ubuntu
• Experience in Ansible

Desirable Skill:

• Ansible tower 
• Satellite 
• MYSQL
• Elasticsearch
• Splunk
• Atlassian

You'd be highly regarded if you had exposure to the following:

• Sound understanding of networking and firewall or supporting network components including configuration of NSX and firewall configurations for Internal Gateway.
• VMware technology stack (vSAN, vRA, vROPS, vSphere, vCenter, NSX, veem  and Horizon
• Windows workstation and Server Operating Systems (PowerShell scripting highly regarded)
• Working knowledge of ServiceNow or other ITSM tool 
• AWS experience

Due to the nature of the role we require the successful applicant to be an Australian Citizen and hold a current NV1 security clearance.
