Job Description

Your New Role 

We're seeking a Senior Pricing Analyst to join our team and take the lead in Pricing activities on a range of complex bids. This role will see you consult across a broad range of internal stakeholders to drive positive pricing and bid outcomes. You will have a hard reporting line into Finance but day to day will be part of a high performing BD and Bids team. You will work closely with the scheduling teams and participate in pricing reviews with management and customer representatives, therefore your stakeholder management skills are essential. 

Your responsibilities will include (not limited to):

  • Compile cost, schedule, and technical elements in the development of proposals in accordance with request for proposal (RFP) or contract specifications. 
  • Work closely with the technical team to develop estimates for proposals and translate those estimates into cost and pricing responses.
  • Financial modelling for pricing responses.
  • Coordinates the collection and accumulation of cost, scheduling, and performance elements from functional departments. 
  • Researches and analyses historical data, develops cost models to support proposal efforts. 
  • Participates in should-cost and pricing reviews with management and customer representatives.
  • Responsible for cost elements for internal gate reviews for tenders.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to obtain inputs and direction required for pricing.
  • Review tenders/draft contracts to identify commercial and financial requirements and to mitigate risks.
  • Contribute to response documentation including the authoring of financial responses for proposals.

Qualifications

About you and What You’ll Bring

You will bring a wealth of experience in pricing for complex proposals, bids and tenders with private sector, government or defence partners. You excel in collaborating with a varied range of business stakeholders and are able to distill complex financial information into meaningful business messages. Communication and relationship building skills are essential along with an ability to work to deadlines. A background in Finance or Accounting would be advantageous but not essential. 

This role does require the successful applicant to be an Australian Citizen and to be able to obtain a security clearance to the NV1 level.
