The Leidos Enterprise Service Management Design team are looking for a new coordinator who is excited to join the team and take their career to the next level. This opportunity is for an enthusiastic person looking to work within a group of specialist and grow within the organisation.

The work will offer a standardised and objective approach to daily duties but you will enjoy working with a wide range of ambitious projects and exercise your skill set in an evolving environment which is transforming and improving.

Your New Role

This role will see you lead and coordinate the creation of Service Design packages developed on a project lifecycle, helping to facilitate engagement with technical, service management SMEs and support teams. You will be documenting and gating a selection of project activities in order to prepare and on-board Service Management prior to transition into service while acting as a conduit between IT Service Management and projects. You will be the key to capturing and effectively articulating risks as identified by stakeholders, and service providers.

A typical day may include:

  • Briefing projects on requirements and engagement rhythms for Service Management;
  • Introducing upcoming project deliverables to governance and support teams;
  • Gathering and documenting requirements for SME reviews;
  • Building Service Design Packages in consultation with project resources;
  • Seeking IT Service Management assessments and endorsements;
  • Raising or supporting stakeholders to raise risks to senior department staff as per the process;
  • Executing an effective handover from Design Coordination to Transition Planning & Support staff to allow for final validation and operational readiness gating of projects deploying into the production environment.

Qualifications

About you and what you'll bring

You will have experience working in an ITIL driven environment with a working knowledge of IT Service Management lifecycle and its capabilities. You will have a strong desire to learn, with aspirations to work across project delivery and service management. You are committed to process compliance and capable of promoting adherence with the ability to influence clients and stakeholders. With an inquisitive mind, and strong sense of ownership over your duties and assigned tasks you will take personal pride in identifying and resolving issues with a proven track record of developing strong interpersonal relationships. You are motivated, driven and you often take initiative to improve team processes and always seek to deliver an exceptional value of service for your organisation and department. 

  • Strong administrative and organisational skills;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Experience in or ability to learn presenting to a group, and chairing meetings;
  • The ability to promote the Service Design Coordination capability, and build a rapport with a varied stakeholder group;
  • At least 2 + Years working in an IT Service Management role or previous experience working within or alongside projects (such as a project coordinator) would be beneficial;
  • ITIL Service Management Foundation certification and intermediate ITIL certification is desirable;
  • Candidates who have worked in a demanding process driven position such as Change Management, Release Management, or Incident Management will have an advantage.

Due to the nature of the work this role will require applicants to be Australian Citizens with baseline clearance or ability to obtain one.
