Join the high performing Project Services (PS) division, working on high profile and complex Defence Projects. We have an opportunity for an experienced Project  Coordinator who offers experience in the assistance of delivery of end to end projects.  The Project Services team as part of the wider Centralised Processing Program works on projects that are out of the original scope. This feed into our Ongoing Services team.

A "Day in the Life" will see you:

  • Work closely with Project Managers and Program Managers to establish project plans and set up governance arrangements.
  • Facilitate meetings and workshops.
  • Work closely with internal teams to assign and track tasks to completion.
  • Develop and maintain the project schedule and project control registers (risks, actions, issues, decisions etc.)
  • Oversee project procurement management and ensure vendors deliver in accordance with the terms of agreement.
  • Regularly review and analyse risks and opportunities.
  • Monitor project progress and handle any issues that arise, working with the Project/Program Manager to eliminate blockers.
  • Act as the point of contact and communicate project status in accordance with the communications plan.
  • Ensure all effort is forecast, captured and approved within the required timeframe.
  • Review internal financial reports for accuracy of cost forecast and capture.
  • Coordinate the development, review and distribution of customer reports.
  • Manage project information ensuring the project repository, project control registers, and SharePoint reports are up to date.

Qualifications

About You and What you Will Bring

  • Proven work experience as a Project Coordinator or similar role.
  • An understanding of the project lifecycle.( CAPM / PRINCE2 certification is a plus).
  • Ability to organise and juggle competing priorities
  • Attention to detail.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work within a high performing team.
  • Ability to engage and communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite including working knowledge of Microsoft Project.

To succeed in this role, you should have excellent time management and communication skills, as you will be collaborating with customers and internal teams.

This role does require the successful applicant to be an Australian Citizen and to hold a current NV1 clearance.
