Your new role

This position will see you being the pivotal lead in driving Enterprise IT Modernisation engagement, enablement and eminence across Leidos Australia. The position is twofold, as a key member of the Science, Engineering and Technical team, you will be involved in bringing technical individuals from various backgrounds together, to deliver solutions to our clients. The further focus is to triage Leidos Australia’s priorities in Enterprise IT Modernisation in concert with the Directors and the CTO's for ATO and Defence.  The Enterprise IT Modernisation role plays a pivotal role in contributing and preparing our organisation for major strategic enterprise IT Modernisation opportunities. You will also be the lynch pin, establishing the relevance and applicability of key Leidos global initiatives to our Australian clients.

 In addition to the above, you will be managing the evaluation of new and emerging technologies and tools in conjunction with our vendors that will support our technical staff to collaborate ideas and ensure the desired output.

About you and what you’ll bring

You will be a roving ambassador to all things within the modernisation space, this includes thought leadership, strategic foresight and direction through the development and realisation of strategic points of view using all methods such as demonstrations, trade studies and understanding our current road-map.You’re also a change advocate who knows how to test the status quo. Building relationships and enhancing client experience alongside your Business Development colleagues comes second nature to you. And you’ve got your finger on the pulse when it comes to building a detailed appreciation of the Enterprise IT Modernisation industry ecosystem in Australia and the expertise ecosystem in Leidos globally.

You can walk into a meeting without a 20 page PowerPoint, are able to engage and instill confidence by “having a conversation” and actually understanding internal and external clients’ needs. As a natural consultant you will enhance our current capability and be the conduit to suppoting the completion of technical outcome, as and where appropriate- helping drive the technical component of overall outcomes.

From a qualifications perspective you will have some or all of the below:

• A computer science or engineering degree:
• ITIL
• Cloud certifications from AWS and/or Microsoft (desirable)
• Agile (desirable)
• Design Thinking (desirable)
• TOGAF (desirable)
