Job Description

About The Role

Leidos have an opportunity for a seasoned professional to work as a Contract Manager in the Sourcing and Commercial Management function. This role will be based at our Kingston office and will see you be responsible for the management of commercial and contractual aspects in relation to a major and high profile Federal government IT managed services program.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and administer the customer contract and subcontracts
  • Interpret and administer contractual obligations, including advising program staff on contract interpretation and services obligations.
  • Draft, review and negotiate contract variations, in line with company policies and procedures
  • Manage all customer correspondence, information management and compliance to company and customer policies.
  • Resolve commercial matters that are able to be dealt with within the Leidos and customer program teams
  • Assist with new business proposals and statements of work, where required, and manage approval processes.
  • Attend customer governance meetings as required, advising on/dealing with commercial matters and ensure minutes are kept/accurate.
  • Escalate and advise senior management on complex issues and commercial matters as required.
  • Run regular program events to educate staff on contract, delegation, approval process etc.
  • Assist with export control management as required

Qualifications

Coupled with your education and practical experience, you will demonstrate a pro-active approach with the ability to understand the business, identify issues and develop relationships to achieve the company’s objectives.  You will demonstrate:

·          Good understanding of contracting principles and contract management disciplines

·          Good commercial sense and strong negotiation skills

·          Strong analytical thinking

·          Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

·          Team player with ability to take own initiative to deliver results

You will also have experience in:

  • Managing large, complex services contracts with clients and subcontractors (preferably in similar industry), with a minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role in a service provider organisation
  • Establishing and administering changes to complex contracts in a multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Building and maintaining effective working relationships with both customer personnel and program personnel
  • Experience with federal government contracting.

Additional Information

This role does require the successful applicant to be an Australian Citizen and to be able to obtain a security clearance to Baseline level.
