Job Description

We have an opportunity to join our key Defence account, Centralised Processing (CP) as a Data Protection and Storage Engineer. Based in our Clayton facility and working within the Engineering Services team, your role will ensure the provision of an effective IT Support service including 

  • Storage network management, 
  • Installation and configuration of storage and data protection software
  • Creation of tools and processes for the management of storage and data protecction environments
  • Tuning of system performance, 
  • Oversee escalations and of storage and backup recovery incidents
  • Make recommendations for purchases of hardware and software.

Your knowledge of Netpp Storage Technologies and management tools will see you provide SME support and advice on projects, and resolve complex technical issues. 

 

About You

You have substantial experience  in a role within an engineering or project environment (preferably in a similar industry) along with a high knowledge of

  • Netapp Storage Technologies
  • Netapp Management Tools
  • Storage build activities
  • Storage systems patching
  • Commvault and Netbackup design, deployment and operation

Proven experience with using OnCommand Unified Manager and Commvault Commcell for system management and monitoring.

Additional Information

This role does require the successful applicant to be an Australian Citizen and ideally have a current NV-2 security clearance or be eligible to obtain one.
