Job Description

An opportunity is available for a System Administration team member to support the Joint Command Support Environment. This role will see you provide onsite support to SharePoint and other data base applications as required. You will have daily interactions with end users, Business Analysts and technical partners so you will need to be an excellent communicator with a strong focus on providing a great customer experience.

You responsibilities will include

  • Understand and contribute to the SharePoint infrastructure, user access and application management
  • Support the installation, configuration, security, operation, backup, and maintenance of all SharePoint servers, equipment, and software related to SharePoint infrastructure as required
  • Participate in planning and execution of tasks related to SharePoint based initiatives (migrations, upgrades, third-party solutions and the like.)
  • Support and maintain document libraries, enterprise lists and site collections
  • Perform typical system administrative activities such as site creation, user training, backup, restore and issue resolution
  • Technical support for Nintex workflows, including communicating the location of form libraries and their purpose
  • Coordinate with stakeholders in standardising and optimising the way data/information is stored, retrieved, and protected
  • Maintain and administer SharePoint, including daily monitoring, troubleshooting and performance analysis ensuring high availability of the SharePoint environment
  • Maintain current industry knowledge of development concepts, best practices and procedures for SharePoint solutions.
  • Effectively analyse matters and exercise good judgment to achieve IT objectives within specified timetables
  • Assist with special projects as needed including determining requirements; selecting, and implementing new tools and technologies; and designing and developing customer training.

Technical Skills

  • Experience working with SharePoint Enterprise 2010 and 2016
  • Experience configuring and working with Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS) and SQL Server 2012/2014
  • Solid understanding of Active Directory and SharePoint command line parameters and able to administer, troubleshoot, and gather data using PowerShell commands
  • In depth understanding of the capabilities of Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010 and 2016
  • Solid knowledge of web performance, monitoring tools and operational procedures
  • Experience with third-party database Backup and Recovery tools
  • Web development experience (HTML, CSS, XSL, XSLT, JavaScript, jQuery)
  • Experience in analysing error and event logs to detect trends or anomalies that could impact system performance
  • Experience in federated authentication frameworks
  • Familiar with responsive web design
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Productivity Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, and Visio) is required.

Please be aware that some on-call and out of hours work may be required.

This role does require the successful applicant to be an Australian Citizen and ideally have a current NV-2 security clearance or be eligible to obtain one.
