Your new role

Join a high profile defence program under the Chief Security Officer. A fast paced role, you will rarely have the opportunity to work in an environment as complex as this, so it’s a great opportunity to develop your technical skillset under the guidance of experienced leaders.

In this role you’ll be responsible for deploying, configuring and sustaining a set of cyber security products and technologies, including Host Based Security Products (AV, HIPS, DLP, EDR etc), SIEM, Network IPS and related management solutions. A core focus of the team is the ongoing deployment and maintenance of Application Whitelisting across a complex environment as well as the automation of existing security processes.

As an engineer in the broader team, your expertise in the technologies and security processes and practices will see you mentoring and advising a 24*7 team of SOC Analysts who are dependent upon the toolsets you provide. 

The role works under general direction to deliver secure services to the program.

Qualifications

About you and what you’ll bring.

You’re a seasoned Cyber Security Analyst or Engineer with upwards of three years of experience with cyber products and technologies and demonstrated experience resolving complex technical issues. Experience in a complex enterprise environment is desirable and your professional memberships and Certifications (SANS, ISACA, Offensive Security etc) will be important. Experience working in Linux/Wintel and/or network disciplines will assist in you being successful in this role.   .

Coupled with your education and practical experience, you will demonstrate a ‘can-do’, pro-active, approach with the ability to understand the business, identify issues and develop relationships to achieve Leidos' objectives. You will have excellent communication skills, technical and interpersonal skills combined with the ability to work autonomously as well as contribute as a valued team member.

An evolving practice, we welcome your initiative in developing and improving our systems and procedures. Given the breadth of this Defence program, your ability to foster positive working relationships with a range of stakeholders will be key.

This role will require the successful applicant to be an Australian Citizen with a current NV1 and ability to obtain NV2.
