Job Description

This role will see you working across a variety of exciting projects within Leidos and provide you with the opportunity to demonstrate your high level skills.

Reporting directly to the Engineering manager you will work across a variety of projects and teams. This is an exciting role for a person who has a can do attitude, high attention to detail, good with drafting and 3D designing and wants a long term career with a growing organisation.

You day will offer variety and see you completing

·         3D Modelling using Solid Works 3DCAD package, of a variety of mechanical systems and components

·         Production of 2D drawings from those models to allow production

·         Support to technical writers to produce illustrations and parts breakdowns for technical manual

Qualifications

Our new team member will have previous experience in

  • Solid Works CAD package modelling in Defence or a related industry
  • Performing technical drafting/modelling tasks
  • Mechanical / electrical systems modelling/drafting under the DEF (AUST)5085B
  • Working in a team and communicating at varying levels within the business

You will also be adaptable and flexible in a changing and agile environment. You will thrive in a fact paced team and be results orientated.

Ideally Cert 4 or higher qualifications in technical drafting / design is desirable.
