Job Description

This is a great opportunity for an experienced HR Business Partner to support a business portfolio and high Bids and Captures division within a fast growing organisation. Your role will involve HR Business Partnering to a portfolio and collaborating with Centres of Excellence on enteprise People Plan initiatives through a broad range of stakeholders. You will also develop and support the best HR strategies and resourcing plans to make new business proposals compelling. 

This role is highly suited to those who enjoy day-to-day operational HR while devising strategic plans that include Employment Relations, Workforce Planning, Diversity, Talent Management, Succession Planning, Talent Acquisition and Mobility. Your knoweldge of employment legilsation and exposure to Government and Defence are critical to success in this role. You will combine this with high quality business writing and elements of project management. 

Due to the nature of the role supporting the Bids and Captures area, this role requires flexible work practices and the willingness to work increased hours at times. This would be rewarded in kind with time off and flexible working hours. 

Qualifications

You will bring the following skills and experience to the role:

  • Working knowledge and experience in multiple HR disciplines including Retention, Talent Development, Compensation, Performance Management, HR Analytics, WHS, Diversity and respective employment legislation
  • Experience representing HR on a Bid and Capture process, as an integral part of a bid team from initial pitch through to contract award
  • Exceptional business writing skills and experience in a project-based environment
  • Experience leveraging a wide range of technical experts including ICT, engineering and logistics fields
  • A commercial HR mindset with the ability to balance day-to-day operational requirements, with an ability to support strategic HR initiatives
  • Experience in the Government and Defence Industry
  • Ability to think creatively and develop solutions to complex problems

Additional Information

This role does require the successful applicant to be an Australian Citizen and to be able to obtain a security clearance to the NV1 level.
