About your new role

As the Information Management Services Lead, you will be responsible for the design and development of the Enterprise Information Management (EIM) support for a large Defence software system, which manages large and diverse sources of data.  This is a rare opportunity to make a major contribution to an important Defence program and a step through the door to many more.

You will:

• Lead and participate in stakeholder and user workshops and conversations to understand current and required information management needs within the context of the system specifications and the Defence Enterprise Information Management Strategy
• Provide advice and input to maximise the efficiency and effectiveness of EIM support as the mission system is developed and continues to evolve
• Lead the definition, development, documentation and implementation of Information Management processes, tools and organisational roles and responsibilities to support initial and ongoing system development and operations requirements
• Work with Defence stakeholders and Leidos engineering and program management teams to ensure EIM support services are aligned with all areas of program delivery, risks are identified and mitigated, and schedule is met
• Build and maintain effective working relationships across all levels and influence key stakeholders
• Contribute ideas to enhancing system capability and managing lifecycle costs
• Participate in technical and program reviews at varying levels with management and customers, including review of subcontractor involvement and security considerations
• Contribute to project planning and estimating, status monitoring and reporting

You have a Bachelor degree or higher in information technology, engineering or a related discipline, together with substantial relevant professional experience.  Relevant certification or professional membership is desirable, and the ability to hold an Australian NV1 security clearance is required for this role.

Coupled with your education you will have:

• Substantial professional experience in Enterprise Information Management with a demonstrable record of success and achievement in delivery of practical EIM solutions and thought leadership as part of IT systems development, delivery and operation
• Professional experience working in a leadership role within an IT, engineering or project environment
• Experience supporting complex ICT projects and in Defence ICT

Your personal and professional attributes will include strong and proven problem solving and organisational skills.  You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, together with the ability to coach and mentor others to further the professional development of the team.
