About your new role

Join a high profile Federal Government program as an ITSM or Remedy Administrator. This is a challenging role someone who loves to work on performance tuning activities and develop new functionality within a product. You will be supporting a bespoke Remedy based ITSM tool that requires updates and automation. As this is an out of support product, you must be comfortable interpreting and building on the work of your predecessors. Bring your ideas and take the product into its next iteration. 

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Leverages the software development lifecycle to design, build, test, and implement solutions based on customers’ requirements
  • Designs and provides software solutions in ARS ensuring the process flow of the Remedy ITSM modules
  • Documents coding changes to be used for test and migration plans
  • Troubleshoots software bugs using client and server logging
  • Packages coding changes for releases so code to be migrated between the applicable environments
  • Provides the Operations and Maintenance Team system support, as needed
  • Performs standard administration system configuration
  • Maintain and make improvements to existing Remedy systems
  • Keep Remedy systems secure and update the infrastructure needed to run Remedy

Your strong interpersonal skills enable you to build close relationships with your peers, key stakeholders and client groups and you seek out the opportunities to go the extra mile. 

The following technical skills are highly valued: 

  • Experience in Remedy ITSM 7.x Administration 
  • Experience in ServiceNow Administration and Development
  • Knowledge of partner products integrated with Remedy ITSM applications
  • Understanding of Remedy ITSM's underlying database structure
  • Experience in Java Development, Windows 2008 Server
  • Experience working under an ITIL framework and knowledge of its key concepts.
  • Strong database skills
  • ITIL® Foundations and intermediate certifications
  • Expertise in Remedy Developer Studio highly advantageous
  • Familiarity with SQL, Java, JavaScript, and RESTful APIs highly advantageous

This role does require the successful applicant to be an Australian Citizen and ideally have a current Baseline security clearance or be eligible to obtain one.
