Job Description

Your New Role
Leidos has an opportunity for a talented Quality Engineer to join a high performing project team to define and document quality standards across the project to assure and deliver project delivery quality. This is your chance to shape what 'good' looks like. 

You will be given the opportunity to plan, deploy  Project Quality Management Systems to align and meet ISO 9001 requirements and specifications for the project. This role will see you develop and deploy process and procedure across configuration and maintenance of tools and infrastructure.

Direct Reporting into National Quality Engineering Manager, with a supporting function by the Head of Mission Assurance, your responsibilities will include;

  • Manage Project instantiation of the Quality Management System.
  • Deploy and implement appropriate QMS processes.
  • Establish audit practices and function of internal processes and products.
  • Ensure adherence to all standards, Leidos policies, and best practices.
  • Provide the program manager with timely metrics and audit outcomes to gauge progress towards quality objectives.
  • Report to higher level management on Quality Achievement and act as liaison for enterprise quality initiatives for the project.
  • Support complete and accurate technical system documentation and specifications across the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

About you and What You’ll Bring 

The successful candidate will offer experience in the construction of quality management systems and have demonstrated application of ISO 9001 standard and how it can be applied to improving quality outcomes along with;

  • Experienced analysing process and translating into a structured process map and process description (i.e. Procedures, forms, etc.)
  • Experience with equipment, test methods and specifications.
  • Experienced in applying quality processes and industry standards.
  • Knowledge and experience with document configuration management.

Additional Information

This position is based at our Kingston location in Canberra

This role does require the successful applicant to be an Australian Citizen and to be able to obtain a security clearance to the NV1 level.
