Job Description

Your new role 

Our team is growing! We have two full time, permanent positions available for Systems Administrators join us in maintaining smooth operation of our multi-user computer systems. Interacting daily with end users, your duties will include:

  • setting up administrator and service accounts,
  • maintaining system documentation,
  • tuning system performance,
  • installing system wide software and
  • allocating mass storage space
  • supporting and maintaining an extensive server platform & related applications,  
  • utilisising enterprise-wide monitoring platforms,
  • identifying problems in the infrastructure environment and action them accordingly, 
  • working with the respective business technology groups to administer, support and manage existing infrastructure deployments & functions.

Please be aware that this role will require some on-call/weekend work as part of a set roster, once a required level of knowledge in the enterprise is achieved. 

The successful candidate should be able to work in a team environment with an enthusiastic sense of customer support. They should also be level-headed, remain calm in crisis situations and coordinate/communicate with users as well as other technology groups in a complex and highly governed environment.

Qualifications

About you and what you'll bring 

You're a team player with strong interpersonal skills and a passion for learning. You have some experience in server, desktop & active directory administration and support, within a medium to large scale environment. This might include a background in help desk or field services where you have administered a multi-domain/Active Directory user environment. 

Desirable but non-essential experience includes: 

  • Understanding of modern server hardware concepts with knowledge of VCE vBlock, NetApp, EMC & Cisco hardware an advantage
  • Experience with SCCM, SCOM ,Splunk, SharePoint, EMC Networker
  • Experience with Citrix VDI deployments and the integration with McAfee products
  • ITIL Foundation v3 certified
  • Experience in creating Knowledge articles
  • Experience with  virtualization technologies including VMware management suite
To be eligible, you must be an Australian Citizen with ability to obtain a baseline security clearance.
