Your New Role

This newly created role will find you working within the Defence Missions Systems business unit; standing up Support contracts, supporting existing acquisition contracts with Transition into Support, and working with capture professionals, within business development to help with opportunity identification.  Working with existing teams and helping to stand-up new Support teams, as well as writing tender response documents to win new business in this critical area of Defence.

Estimation of support (operational, engineering, maintenance, supply and training) effort and risk as part of the tender proposal, based on your experience and knowledge of successful ASDEFCON Support contracts.

Able to work into a project team and perform general Support / ILS tasks.

Experience:

• Solid experience in ASDEFCON Support contracts, management or technical, sustaining a capability to an ADF user.
• Some tendering experience in response to an ASDEFCON Support RFT.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Tertiary Level qualifications in a relevant field.

A typical day could include:

• Working within the DMS business, with project and support services managers to help deliver the required support constituent capabilities to the customer.
• Working within the DMS business to stand-up new support teams / transition an acquisition team to a support contract arrangement.
• Working in a bid team, to identify strategies, products and teaming partners in order to form a cohesive solution offering for a given Support tender.  Including documenting the solution in a clear and coherent manner through response to RFT TDRs.
• Estimation of support (operational, engineering, maintenance, supply and training) effort and risk as part of the overall pricing proposal
• Able to work into a project team and perform general Support / ILS tasks.
