Job Description

Based in Melbourne or Canberra we have a new opportunity for an experienced Scheduler to lead a team of Project Schedulers delivering a scheduling service across the enterprise.  You will be supporting meaningful programs which will enable and support operations of military and intelligence force elements as well other federal government capability.

This role will see you lead a team of project schedulers and stakeholders to develop scheduling capability and services across our Australian business. You will also assess project issues and with the project manager and senior stakeholders develop resolutions to the schedule to meet customer goals and objectives.  

A typical day will see you;

  • Lead a team of Project Schedulers
  • Oversee and implement best practices across the enterprise with regard to Scheduling and the service capability
  • Develop, monitor and review project schedules.
  • Develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers and other internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assess project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
  • Manage the Program schedule and prepare the status reports.
  • Analyse data and prepare reviews.
  • Work with program management to plan and manage program resource requirements
  • Interpret and review request for tender and/or contract documentation and develop and review schedules against requirements.

 

Qualifications

About You & What You’ll Bring 

  • Ability to engage, lead and influence  your team and collaborate with a complex set of stakeholdersExperience in delivery of best practice, process and policy pertaining to Scheduling
  • Defence related Project scheduling experience for large, complex projects (highly desirable)
  • Demonstrable ability to consistently produce excellent results in a complex environment
  • Working knowledge of other related disciplines including forecasting and cost estimation
  • Expertise in MS Project
  • Expertise in EVM and project financials
  • Expertise in OPP
