Your new role

We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineering Lead to join our growing team. You will be working within the Defence Solutions Account and its programs to understand technical requirements and offer appropriate solutions. The lead will ensure program engineering performance; supporting BD with RFT’s and technical solution development, and support the technical document writing.

This opportunity will also provide engineering leadership and support the Line of Business Engineering Manager, capable of supporting programs / bids as the technical lead with commensurate delegated technical authority.

You will enjoy and thrive in the full engineering life cycle and this role see you working with engineering processes, measures and metrics.

Your responsibilities will also include

  • Maintain and share professional knowledge and experience with Defence Platforms and Systems,   C4ISR, and support programs across Defence Solutions programs.
  • Support technical teams with integration and V&V on large complex programs

Qualifications

About You

You will be a Senior Systems Engineering Lead that is considered an expert and is ready for your next challeng to come into the business and support existing programs as well as new business. This will align well with someone from a Defence System Engineering background that is familiar with the acquisition.

As well as bringing your extensive experience to Leidos you will be:

  •  A proactive problems solver / solution architect that is collaborative in your approach.
  • An exceptional communicator that can build and maintain stakeholder relationships at varying levels
  • Proactive in your approach with the strong ability to understand business and identify issues
  •  Degree qualified in a related discipline (Masters highly desirable)
  •  Have Chartered (CPEng) status from the Institute of Engineers Australia (or International equivalent).
