In this role you will be joining our systems engineering hub on an exciting new project. You will be performing mechanical design tasks across various projects and will turn your hand, to ensuring our COTS products integrate fully within different systems.

As part of your role you will be broadening your skills set across our business and bringing your years of design experience to enhance our projects.

Your role

• Synthesise customer requirements, standards and other inputs to generate concept designs.
• Work with stakeholders to refine designs, perform classical analysis (FEA experience desirable), and prototyping to substantiate designs in preparation for project design reviews.
• Work with manufacturers to ensure designs are adequate for manufacture, and manage the manufacturing process on behalf of the company.
• Perform inspection of products for conformity, and testing where required to verify design requirements have been met.

About you and what you will bring

You will be degree qualified (Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering degree, have substantial experience in mechanical product design, preferably within a defence environment using low volume production technologies i.e DMP, SLS, CNC machining.  Solid Works modelling and drawing generation using GD&T principals are highly desirable.
