About your new role

SE&I are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Senior Systems Engineer that has a strong systems engineering background coupled with good interpersonal skills as well as using sound problem solving techniques to tackle the diverse day to day tasks that SE&I are involved in.

As a  key member of the SE&I team, you will be involved in managing technical individuals from various backgrounds while bringing a systems engineering approach for the integration of the final solution, including traceability of verification activities to the system requirements as well as involved in the system design, integration, and verification and validation activities. You will also be involved in Systems Engineering process development as well as providing guidance to project teams in meeting the Leidos engineering and technical regulatory frameworks.

In addition to the above, you will be managing the evaluation of new and emerging technologies and tools that can help technical and Systems Engineering staff to collaborate ideas and manage the end-to-end system design and integration in an efficient manner.

Qualifications

Qualifications required as part of the role, as listed below:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering or equivalent experience/combined education, with substantial relevant professional experience and specialised training that is commensurate with the assignment.

  • Has obtained or capable of obtaining Systems Engineering Prefessional Certification through INCOSE or Engineers Australia. Note: Certifications with other professional organisations will also be considered.

Additional Career Experience:
  • Advanced experience in designing, defining and delivering complex projects for Large Enterprise and Service Providers
  • Advanced knowledge and experience in Systems Engineering, including full end to end life cycle and Systems Engineering Technical Processes.
  • Advanced knowledge or experience in ISO/IEC 15288 or equivalent Systems Engineering Standards
  • Ability to lead a team to deliver technical outcomes that are fit for purpose for customers and stakeholders
  • Ability to apply extensive technical expertise in the field of Systems Engineering and has full knowledge of other related disciplines
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
  • Advanced level of planning and organisational skills

Additional Information

This role does require the successful applicant to be an Australian Citizen and have a NV1 security clearance or be eligible to obtain one.
