Job Description

Leidos is currently positioning for a large systems integration project with the Department of Defence. An opportunity exists for an Integration Architect who can scope, design and oversee development activities to deliver complex B2B systems integration for a large program of work. Candidates with demonstrated experience using mainstream ESB’s, API platforms and standard messaging protocols will find this to be a challenging and rewarding role.

 This is a critical role within an exciting area of Defence, dealing with mission critical data in local and deployable data centres. The role will involve designing and then ensuring that the product under development integrates the various systems correctly, can cross security and organisational boundaries and is reliable for military use.

As well as being a first rate technically, you will have superior problem solving capabilities - with the ability to translate design requirements into robust, integrated solutions.

 This role is suited to experienced integration practitioners with a keen eye for detail, and an ability to deliver outcomes on time, to cost and quality.

Qualifications

Essential

1) Demonstrated experience undertaking and providing advice on configurations, technical designs, development and testing of enterprise-level integrations

2) Demonstrated experience in interface control development/management.

3) 5 years’ experience in a large-scale systems integration environment that included responsibilities for integration service interface design and implementation

4) Demonstrated experience developing solution n architecture, including solution architecture patterns such as Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), Micro services, Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) and Integration Platforms

5) Minimum 5 years’ experience developing with Commercial ESBs or Integration Frameworks such as Mulesoft/WSO2

6) Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

7) Experience with 2 or more of the following technologies:

Apache Camel, Apache Service Mix, Active MQ, Kong, Apigee, Kafka, Spring Integration, RESTful Web Services, JMS, Linux scripting.

8) Qualifications in, or demonstrated experience of development within a systems engineering lifecycle environment.

9) Knowledge of RESTful APIs and SOAP-based Web Services;

10) Self-starter; demonstrates initiative and can take accountability to deliver on-time outcomes.

11) Baseline cleared (NV1 preferred)

12) Experience developing enterprise application architectures

13) Must be living in, or willing to relocate, to Canberra or surrounding region

Desirable

  • In-depth knowledge of HL7 and Orion Rhapsody integration toolset.

  • Prior experience in large scale ICT system implementation and migration delivery

  • A genuine passion for heavy hands-on coding, and an aptitude for problem-solving in an extremely fast-paced, collaborative environment

  • Advanced data modeling skills

  • Hands on experience with Big Data products including Spark Streaming, StreamSets, NiFi, Hadoop and Mongo DB

  • Advanced knowledge of communication protocols and RDF, JSON, XML and XSLT in the context of messaging and transformation;

This role does require the successful applicant to be an Australian Citizen and be ellegible to gain a NV2 Security Clearance
