Job Description

Your new role and Project

This project is within the acquisition phase, which allows this position to be broad within the engineering team; essentially, you will provide expertise within understanding the products we want to acquire, their use storage and maintenance.  This role will be integral to assisting with the CBRN product & system evaluation, and demonstration activities. Working closely the ILS team members to contribute to technical & operation manual development.  Support acceptance V&V activities with the customer and project engineers.  Provide initial training of CBRN equipment products and systems. Once the project moves into the support phase the products you have helped choose, and have the deepest understanding of - you will perform routine maintenance activities to refurbish equipment, routine inspection of equipment in both Leidos and Commonwealth storage facilities to maintain equipment availability levels.  Continue with a cycle of training of CBRN equipment products and systems.

The ability to train the users and support the ILS team is necessity,.  We are looking for a customer oriented multi-disciplined person to join a new team.

The role will focus on some of the below:

  • Ability to work autonomously as well as contribute in a team and professional environment
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple, concurrent activities, while understanding and managing priorities, dependencies and risk
  • Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
  • Complete understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories and concepts in the CBRN field
  • Proven ability to adapt and maintain a flexible approach to changing needs or priorities
